Quinte Halloween Cosplay Day/Photoshoot IV

So yesterday was the fourth annual Quinte Halloween Cosplay Day/Photoshoot hosted by yours truly.

I have to say that this is the biggest and best year of the cosplay day to date! With a whopping total of 17 in attendance!!! WOW O_O

First off, I would like to thank the two people who helped me prep this year's cosplay day!
Nekoyasha23 for figuring out a game to play, and making all the pages, and going through the park to set up all of the pages made for our live action game of Slender!
Midnight-Desert-Rose for helping watch the weather and managing all of the cash for our bill at the restaurant, as well as helping me get people's attention!

I would also like to thank our two Slenderman for our game!
stephie-thearrancar & Robert Nielsen! You both did a great job at scaring the shit out of our players!

In addition, thank you to all who ventured into the rain for the cosplay day!


So, woke up a little later than originally planned, but I managed to get into my costume, and get my makeup done by the time Rob & Midnight-Desert-Rose arrived at my place - which was around 8:10. 8:30 we finally left as my mom had come down the hall and started talking to us as we were trying to get everything loaded into the back of mine and my dad's car... but still got into town to get Tim Hortons for Nekoyasha23, stephie-thearrancar, myself, and Rob. Midnight-Desert-Rose paid for her own and helped me carry everyone's coffees/teas/etc.

Due to when I got Nekoyasha23's text, I went and picked her up at No Frill's around 9:15. I blasted Gangnam Style so she would know instantly that I was there to get her. Of course, I took shortcuts to pick her up

When DeadKoiBunny we officially went to start our first staff meeting for Quinte Mini Con - which we're hoping we can have set up for next November in our area! Really hoping that it will come to fruition!

Anyway, not talking about QMC and the staff meeting. But will give info on that as I know more.

Around 10:45 or so we moved to the mall due to rain, and switched it over to Chapters where we got into some cosplay shenanigans with making some videos, taking pictures, and general craziness. Foreverflame, Ally, Nigel, and Patrick all joined us at the mall. As stephie-thearrancar had driven to Trenton to go and pick up a friend, she was late in getting to the mall. But that's okay, the friend she brought with her was wearing a costume that was multiple in one - incorporating aspects of characters such as Megamind, Once-ler, and Nougami Neuro. The Neuro part I loved. YAY CLAWS!

Around noon however we moved back to the park as it had stopped raining. When we got back, we set up the tablecloths, the food, plates, etc. People started to gather after a while!

Around 2:45, Nekoyasha23 and I took stephie-thearrancar to go and set up our pages for the Slender game. Yes, we had a live action play of the online game, Slender. It was a lot of fun for everyone who played! We set the pages throughout the park, at random trees, into the brush of forest, by the river, at the canteen, and in the playground. There were 3 in the playground, and I think only two of them were taken. I think. So I feel sorry for anyone who walks through the park and sees these random pages that are from the game. If they know of the game, and believe in Slenderman, well, won't they be in for a shock!

Around four we started our game of Slender. It took us roughly 45 minutes to set up all of the pages. 8 pages, three of each one. Instead of having the three all together at the same location, we scattered each page individually, to make it even more challenging.
And there was an extra challenge. In the game, you only have to avoid one Slenderman right? Well, we had two Slenderman! So we had up'd the anti! Harder to find the pages as you may come across a duplicate of what you already have, plus you had to avoid not one, but TWO Slenderman!

Three groups ventured into the park where both our Slenderman (Rob N. & stephie-thearrancar) were waiting.

Third place group: Brian & Ally (5 pages)
- 1 Cone of Random Gummies from Laura Secord
- 1 Gummy Pumpkin
- 1 Bottle of bubble stuff

If everyone wants it, we can play Slender again next time ^^

After the game was over, we headed to the dinner at Buffet Garden! They had originally been expecting 30, but with the way the weather was, it was only 15 who went to the dinner, and in addition, some were unable to come for dinner.

Great fun was had and we ended up making a Facebook status on Foreverflame's Timeline that said the following:

"Ok where going to cook the egg with the milk and apple. Top with double cherry and ginger pumpkin to make the egg roll dish to eat for dry hair but we got a fever...banana"

This is what comes of fortune cookies that end up being able to make this strange sentence XD

Afterwards, many of us went to Robert N & Brian's for games and Youtube, and general hilarity.
While there, hijinks such as tail hitting, stripping, gaming, cupcake-in-face-smooshing, and general insanity pursued xD

This has been the best year of the QHCDP!
I can't wait till next year!
