Faery Fest Enchanted Ground 2014

I was so happy to return to Faery Fest's Enchanted Ground this year! I went in 2012, their 7th year, and was able to return for their 9th. This year however instead of wandering the grounds all weekend, I was working at the Quinte Mini Con booth ^^

We got to Guelph around 4pm, and we pretty much spent our night exploring the area around our hotel, derping, and getting food from No Frills. We figured it'd be cheaper to buy groceries for ourselves and have dinner that way than order in.

Saturday I wore my Dark Faery costume with all new makeup. I sadly forgot my wig cap, so I couldn't wear the wig I had for it. As a result, the photos I have are with my real hair, which worked just as well.

Our booth was aimed towards kids. About 3-12 was the age range for our booth. We were running a kids' arts & crafts centre. Gave them a good chance to go crazy and draw or make what they wanted for free. Bonus the parents could have a rest while their kids got creative (and some came back to do more!)

Ended up with a really bad sunburn across my back though Hurts like mad.

We spent Saturday night in the hotel getting some rest, having some nice cold Tim Hortons drinks and cookies, and some dinner (hot dogs & noodles).

Sunday I wore the top & skirt for my Steampunk Earth Faery and was a woodland elf instead. The pointed ear tips I bought from Wal-Mart actually worked pretty good! Had fun with my makeup and did it really simple and fast. Managed to get my hair into a bun too with just bobby pins.

I spent 4 hours going around to all the vendors giving them fliers and talking to them about Quinte Mini Con. Also was able to get my dagger for my historical costume for Costume Con 35 in 2017 when it returns to Toronto.

I look forward to next year, we are already making plans for what the booth for Faery Fest will be.

It was fun, I am going to try and have a couple new fantasy costumes. They are so nice and comfy, and easy to make
