I'm a week late in doing this so bare with me xD
Last weekend I went to Faery Fest with DeadKoiBunny. Full details!
Friday
We headed down to Guelph on Friday morning.
DeadKoiBunny used to live in Guelph so she showed me where she used to live and all sorts of places. It was pretty cool to see her old house When we got to Riverside Park they were still setting up so we walked around the park, took some photos of ducks and geese, and got some places for photos for later on.
Around 3 we got our hotel room at the Days Inn - great hotel stay
We hung out in the room and around 5 we started to get ready in our costumes. I wore Princess Velvet from Odin Sphere and she was her Autumn Faery. We met up with Koi's friend for coffee at a nearby Tim Hortons. Very soft-spoken for a guy I must say - most of the guys I know are quite loud.
Faery Fest's festivities for Friday started at 7 which was primarily story telling and bardic music. Was really interesting
We left to do some photos at one point, and came back afterwards. When we were too cold to stay any longer we headed back to the hotel, changed out of our costumes, and went and got some dinner. Two slices of pizza and a pop for $5
Saturday
We woke up around 8 I think and we started to get ready after going down and getting our free breakfast. GAH FREE BREAKFAST SO GOOOOD!!!!
I wore my Steampunk Earth Faery And Koi wore Oddly. For info. on that, ask her, I don't know how to explain that Faery xD
We met up with ShinobiXikyu pretty soon after we got there with her boyfriend. We all entered the costume contest. I got four ribbons for my Steampunk Faery, one for goblin-esque makeup, one for a weapon, one for being of the Unseelie Court, and one for having things growing on me.
It was sooo much fun to hang out with everyone. Was a long day, but soo worth it.
The jousting was epic in and of itself >D
I don't really know what all to write about really xD
Finished off the night though with watching TV in the hotel room with Koi and pizza for dinner again.
Sunday
I was originally going to wear my Dark Faery this day, but I decided not to due to A) the burn on my back, and B) I felt if I shifted the wrong way I'd have a "fashion malfunction". If you get my drift. So I wore Velvet again. Koi was herself with the addition of Orc ears and Batman inspired makeup
So much fun again. And I got to learn how to play Munchkin. Which I've discovered is a lot of fun and I like it more than Magic which just confuses me xD
Entered the costume contest as Velvet and got 8 ribbons. Four of which were for the puppet I had on my shoulder that I bought the day before. They were for being a princess, liking goblins, being of the Unseelie Court, having a pet, having feathers, being homemade, having wings, and having a weapon.
Goblins everywhere at Faery Fest. Hiding from the Dark King and Queen... gah the actors were so disciplined in keeping character that I am in awe of this because I can't do it for too long depending on the character type.
Koi and I left around 3-4 to head home as we both had to work Monday.
I hope I can go again next year

Long Time
It's been a long while since I signed in and posted. I don't know if I'll ever make a full return to deviantart, but I'll try to post at least one photo of every costume here. I've been far more active on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook the past year. It seems crazy to think that a year ago I was preparing for Costume Con in Montreal, and then it was cancelled while I was on my way there. Which sucked. Since then I've finished a few costumes and started others. I've been slowly working away at Lucifer Magne from Hazbin Hotel and Princess Hilda from Final Fantasy II. In addition to working on Lucifer and Hilda, I've also started Valentino and Vox also from Hazbin Hotel, and planning a new Yoko cosplay and to start Demise (Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword) later this year. I started to spend a lot of time on TikTok, which I have been spending a lot of time dedicated to. I've had a lot of fun with it and done quite well.
Richard Sharpe - Sharpe's Rifles Help
So I'm making my very first historical costume, and with only buying 3 fabrics, 3 spools of thread, and a pattern for it, the costume is proving that it is going to be quite expensive.
So I'm asking if people here are willing to buy me a coffee over on ko-fi to help fund this piece of insanity.

Otakuthon in 1 Month... I don't know what I'm doin
Normally, I have everything figured out way ahead so that I don't have any guess work when it comes time to prepare for a convention. This year for Otakuthon is proving to be very different for that. For the first time in a number of years for Otakuthon, I don't know what all I'm going to wear.
The only thing that I know for sure is that I will be making Sailor Mercury (part bought/part made) to wear, and I'm not sure what day yet - maybe Sunday.
I want to bring Pyramid Head, but this is going to be really dependent on space in my van, as I'll have 7 people and all of their luggage. So this is going to be difficult if I bring him because of

Thanks for writing this up, I've been so unsure about it all the time, but it sounds like something I would really enjoy~ If you go next year again, I will hopefully see you there!
Oh.. also very envious of your quill pen... <.<
